Description: William G. Griebleb and Don Stevens just after landing, San Diego, March 16, 1936. Griebleb, of Glendale, designed and built the plane which Stevens rode to a height of 16,000 feet. Stevens made fifty-four consecutive loops in the glider before landing at Lindbergh Field.Don C. Stevens of Glendale made a record for fifty-four consecutive loops in a glider above the California Pacific International Exposition, after ascending to an altitude of 16, 000 feet.
