First Day Covers (FDC) are envelopes with a postage stamp and colorful cachets. FDC collectors applied an Official U.S. Stamp commemorating the Exposition, which was franked (canceled/postmarked) on the Exposition’s first day, May 29, 1935, at the Exposition Station in Balboa Park and mailed to the collectors.
