Ford’s outdoor exhibit, the 2,800-foot Roads of the Pacific, got people into brand new Ford V-8 cars for a scenic drive over 14 reproductions of famous roads on the slopes of the canyon behind the Ford Exposition building. Ford Motor Co. hired nurseryman/landscaper Milton Sessions, nephew of Kate Sessions, to create Roads of the Pacific using plants native to each country represented.
