The Palace of Fine Arts was constructed in 1926 on the site of the temporary 1915 Sacramento Valley Building at the north end of the Plaza del Pacifico. The shallow pools and large Arch in the Plaza were present only in 1935-1936. The building is home to the San Diego Museum of Art. See also Exposition art, artists, and exhibit catalogues.
